Floify Pre-Approval Letter Hub

Overview

Floify makes it easy to generate Pre-Approval Letters (PALs) on the fly for your borrowers, and we have built an optimized workflow to send a letter that meets your need.

Once you have a pre-approval letter template set up in your Floify account, you are ready to start preparing and generating pre-approval letters for your borrowers. This is a two-step process that involves setting up the parameters for your letter first, and then generating your letter second.

The Pre-Approval Letters leverage a mixture of direct parameters for the loan, LO profile details, and custom loan fields.

Before Getting Started

Before getting started, to get the most of this feature, there is some setup for your account that should be completed. The PAL feature can pull data from the LO profile and loan-level custom fields.

Read about the setup process for your profile here: Update my Profile Details

Read about custom field setup here:

  1. Create a Custom Field
  2. Create an LOS Custom Field

Once you have created custom fields configured, you will want to create a layout, which will allow you to view and edit the fields. Read about custom field layouts here:

  1. Create a Custom Field Layout
  2. Edit or Delete an Existing Custom Field Layout

How to Set Up

We have some guidance here on adding even more customizations to your Pre-Approval Letter using our custom fields feature: Using Custom Fields in Pre-Approval Letters

Best Practices

Before setting up your pre-approval letter, keep the following in mind:

  • Floify pre-approval letters use Arial CE 10, and the font cannot be changed.
  • If Arial CE is not available, Arial is the closest match.
  • Each merge field can only be used once per page.
  • Merge fields should usually be placed slightly lower than expected, typically 2 to 3 clicks down after aligning them inline.
  • In your uploaded PDF, include any needed $ symbols in the template where dollar amounts are used, as Floify merge fields do not contain them by default.
