Set Up Borrower Pairs

Overview

The loan pipeline is where you will manage all of your borrowers, including reviewing application and document data, making adjustments to the loan flow, and locating any additional information regarding the loan.

 

If your borrowers are unmarried and/or set up as multiple borrower pairs in Encompass, you will need to create a separate loan flow for each co-mortgagor and sync each one to the same Encompass loan file number.  

 

How to Set Up 

Setting Up the Primary Borrower(s)

If you already have a loan flow for your primary borrower, you'll want to ensure they are paired properly to the correct Encompass loan file number. 

 

Select the edit loan flow button (pencil/paper icon) towards the right of the borrower's name in your loan pipeline:

Scroll down to the Encompass section. You will be able to search using the appropriate Encompass loan file number or the primary borrower's name (based on your company settings). Enter the information and select Search Encompass:

Select the correct file number and then the correct borrower pair from the dropdown. This will correspond with the name on the loan flow. Select Connect and Import Data to confirm the change:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Save to confirm your changes:

Setting Up the Secondary Borrower(s)

If you already have a loan flow for your secondary borrower, you'll want to ensure they are paired properly to the correct Encompass loan file number. 

 

Select the edit loan flow button (pencil/paper icon) towards the right of the borrower's name in your loan pipeline:

Scroll down to the Encompass section. You will be able to search using the appropriate Encompass loan file number or the primary borrower's name (based on your company settings). Enter the information and select Search Encompass:

Select the correct file number and then the correct borrower pair from the dropdown. This will correspond with the name on the loan flow. Select Connect and Import Data to confirm the change:

Scroll down to the bottom of the page and select Save to confirm your changes:

If you don't have a loan flow set up yet for the secondary borrower, select the Start New Loan Flow button in your pipeline to begin creating the new record:

Select Connect Existing File underneath the Connect Loan to Encompass header. You will be able to search using the appropriate Encompass loan file number or the primary borrower's name (based on your company settings). Enter the information and select Search Encompass:

Select the correct file number and then the correct borrower pair from the dropdown. This will correspond with the name on the loan flow. Select Connect and Import Data to confirm the change:

Some of the data will pre-populate based on what's listed in Encompass. Fill out the rest of the information as you normally would to create the loan flow and select the Start New Loan Flow button at the bottom of the page:

Success! The loan flows should now be successfully linked to the Encompass loan file number. Repeat this process for any remaining borrower pairs if necessary.
