Include Custom Questions in My Application

Overview

The Apply Now settings allow for you to make various configuration changes to your loan application and loan application settings.

 

Among these settings, you'll have access to include and edit custom questions in your loan application.

 

Custom questions can be added to the application if you wish to obtain additional information from the borrower not built into our standard loan application. The custom questions can be added to any part of the application and will appear at the end of the section from the borrower perspective.

If you are using the non-standard loan application, the custom questions will appear on the same PDF, rather than a separate one.

 

 

How to Set Up

 From your active loan pipeline, navigate to Settings > Apply Now:

Scroll down to Apply Now Application Settings > Edit Apply Now Application Settings:

At the end of each part of the application, you'll see the option to Add a custom question:

You'll have the option to enter your question and select a question type (dropdown, checkboxes, short answer, yes/no).

 

Note: Automatic doc requests can be triggered off of custom questions with the following question types: dropdown, checkboxes, and yes/no.

 

Additionally, you can select whether you want to include the question in the application or make it required for the borrower to answer by selecting the checkboxes in either column:

Once you are finished creating your question, make sure you select Save to confirm the changes:

This will add it to your list in the Custom Questions section:

You can also set up custom logic to trigger another set of questions based on the on the custom question. This custom logic can only be set up for Yes/No type custom questions.

 

First, create your question as listed above. You'll see 3 dots on the right where you can select the Custom Logic option:

You'll see the values displayed for the current question answer, and will see an option to choose a question. This will prompt you to choose any existing questions, or create a new question:

If you create a new question, you'll be taken back to the new question options just like above. Make sure you select Save to confirm the change:

Once the question has been added, make any additional changes or add additional questions, and select Done to confirm:

The custom logic questions will only be requested if the borrower provides the appropriate response to the initial question to trigger them.

 

 

Make sure you also select Save at the bottom of the screen to confirm your changes:

All set! Any future applications will include the custom question at the end of the included part of the application:
